Jon & Di will be hosting the Open Home Lunch today after church. Plan to join in this time of fellowship together

Next Sunday

Coffee & Tea Table changes
We are seeking to create the best time of connection with God and each other during our Lifepoint Service and in order to do this we will be making some changes to the Coffee Table. From next Sunday onwards coffee & tea will be available before the service up until 9:55am, from which time the table will be closed until after the service where you will be able to help yourself again and enjoy fellowship with each other.

We will be removing the Totara seedlings on Wednesday 9th July @ 12:30 at Joyce Road. Please bring a spade, garden trowel or fork, old clothes & the kids! (School holiday time). Shouldn’t take too long if many turn up!
We still require pots/tubs and potting mix so please contact
Jim P or Sue F, if you are able to provide these items so that we know we will have enough for the project. Donations towards these items will be gratefully received.

Missionary Meeting – On July 15th Peter & Mathilde Hanscamp will be speaking at the 14th Avenue Gospel Centre at 1:30 pm about their involvement with the “Community Bible Study” (CBS) movement in the Asia/Pacific region for which they have responsibility. Without question this is one of the most important areas of need in the Christian church throughout the world today. A warm welcome is extended to all who can attend. An offering will be taken and the afternoon will conclude with afternoon tea.

Our next get-together will be Saturday 19th July. We will meet for afternoon tea, 2pm at Daphne and Sylvia's home.

Annual Bible Quiz
Sunday 20th July, 2pm at Greerton’s Church of Christ. (1 Kings 17-21 & John 13-17) Teams of 2 or 3. Please let the office know if you intend to enter a team.

Mid-winter Christmas ‘Guess who’s coming to Dinner’
We thought it was time to have another ‘Guess who’s coming to Dinner’ event, and what better time to have it than in the middle of winter! If you would like to participate in this enjoyable evening please put your name and phone number on the clipboard in the foyer stating whether you would like to host or be a mystery guest! (All are invited to be a part of this no matter how large your family is). We are planning for July 26th.

Church Service and Celebration
July 27th we will have our church service at the Olive Tree Cottage, Pyes Pa Road followed by a half hour Thanksgiving and Dedication service on our Joyce Road property at 12 noon and an opportunity to walk and pray over the land (if weather is not suitable then this will be at the Olive Tree Cottage).

Greenlane Worship Team
On the weekend of Aug 1-3, we're having a visit from a worship team from Greenlane Christian Centre in Auckland. It's going to be an exciting time for both the worship team and the church as whole as they share their giftings in this ministry. They'll be with us the entire weekend so we need billets for them.
There are 2 married couples and 1 female 5 male. If you're able to help could you please see Shayne a.s.a.p.
There will be a Church Lunch on the 3rd to farewell the team.

Wanted – Toys for Crèche
Do you have any toys that your children have grown out of that would be suitable for the crèche?
Please drop into the church office toys for children aged 0-3yrs.
No soft toys or baby rattles please as we have plenty of these.

‘Totara’s in Tubs’
“The vine has many branches”

Our Joyce Road property has many Totara seedlings growing under one tree.
We need these as they provide an opportunity for you to become involved by tending to some of these seedlings plants and growing them on for a year when they should be big enough to plant among the plants, shrubs, flax etc that we have started doing and will continue with.

To achieve this we need people to be available to do the following:-
1) Remove seedlings in the first week of July.
2) Provide planter pots and/or bags about 150 ml x150ml. Either hard plastic or black planter bags (PB 5 and PB 8) second hand pots fine.
3) Donations of bags of potting mix.
4) A commitment to take and look after 1-15 Totara plants for a year and to treat with TLC.
5) Plant “your own” plants next year on our church property.
