Project Meet Jesus

MISSION: Barbeque for the homeless of Tauranga
LOCATION: Elim Church, Tauranga
WHEN: Wednesday Evenings

Jesus said “What you do for the least of these my brothers, you do for me”.

John the Baptist said “If you have two coats give one away”.

Project meet Jesus is about feeding and getting to know the poor. We help provide some food to the poor every second Wednesday night. We share conversations, triumphs, heart aches, and some heated processed meat. And we always notice something, Jesus is unmistakably there.

If you would like to get involved, contribute to the food, or just wanna see some cool videos,
Contact the church office at 571 6525 or email.

He sits.
Glaring at the bleque mayhem
Of moving pavement
Bundled in scouts cloak, stiff and pure.
What a sight.
A gleam of sad dreams
Sparkling slowly in his eyes.
He wonders;
Why?
When?
Nothing is real.
Nothing need be.
Friend why are u here?
Why are u afraid of how u appear?
Why do u stand and stare,
Like them?
Friend I am here.
Just a man who can see
Your pain, your beauty.
I feel the pain which shackles u to the lamp posts.
Your shoes fit my feet.
Please look beyond
The foolish people u meet.
