Going Global

The function of the Going Global team within Lifezone is to raise the profile of global mission within the church and to provide a support mechanism for missionaries that are sent out from or have a close connection with Lifezone.

The Going Global Team, led by Warren Seabourne, meets monthly to keep up-dated on and pray for Lifezone’s missionaries who serve both overseas and locally.  The meetings are also used as a time of planning and discussing ideas for  upcoming “Going Global Sundays.” Going Global Sunday's occur approximately every three months and are used to keep the wider church family up-to-date on what is happening with Lifezone’s commended missionaries.

In the past Going Global Sundays have included a live Skype conversation with the Smith family in the Philippines; and conducting a service as it would take place in Bangladesh with shoes off, and men and women sitting on opposite sides of the church.

The team believe more than just financial support needs to be given to Lifezone’s commended missionaries, therefore a long-distance pastoral care model is being developed to help support their Spiritual health. This plan includes regular written contact and the occasional visit to Lifezone’s missionaries currently active on the mission field.
