MINISTRY: Church service at Cedar Manor
LOCATION: Cedar Manor, 6th Avenua, Tauranga
WHEN: Monthly on Sunday mornings during school term

Over twenty years ago Lifezone, then called Otumoetai Bible Chapel, joined with other churches to provide a half hour Sunday morning service at Cedar Manor for those residents who were not able to attend a Church away from Cedar Manor but were able and willing to be part of a service within the building. 

Some of the residents who have reached this stage in their lives sorely miss their involvement in church life. This experience can be distressing, even soul destroying, for those who have clear minds and have lived for God for most of their lives. 

There are those who only survive a few months while others are cared for in this way for many years. We sing with them the hymns of their younger days, we pray and seek to present a meaningful message from the Bible. To have the opportunity to stand in front of such an audience is an awesome challenge as we open the Word of God and endeavour for that brief time to focus their thoughts on the One who alone can meet the need of their hearts and remind them that to Him they are precious and loved.  We are grateful for the opportunity to assist in providing such a service.
