International Needs presents…
What ever happened to Kim?
A testimony evening from Kim Phuc; the girl in the well-known photograph from the Vietnam War of children running down a road highly distressed. (See the notice board). She will be talking of her journey of faith and forgiveness.
Holy Trinity, Wednesday 27th August at 7:30pm. Ideal to bring along a friend to.

Next Sunday

Sunday 31st August
Bethlehem College Events Centre is not available for us to use next Sunday due to the annual Art Exhibition. We will be having our regular church service in the Living Hope building; Amber Cresent off Birch Ave. God’s Own will be having their Movie Sunday with rewards for memory verse/books of the Bible. (These are only given out on Movie Sunday’s).

Food Bank Offering
Lifezone has pledged to make a monthly offering to the Tauranga Food Bank. This will be done by taking the food offering for the last Sunday of each month and giving it to the Food Bank. May the Lord bless you as you give to this ministry.

Ladies Friendly Hour
The Mount Bible Chapel warmly invites ladies to attend their ‘Friendly Hour’ this Thursday 28th August at 10am. Their speaker will be Elsa Pullinger.

Girls Night Out
Greerton Bible Church along with World Vision present an evening with Juliagrace (Christian Artist - singer) and speaker Allison Mooney. 30th August, 7:30pm-9:30pm at Greerton Bible Church. Tickets are $15 available through GBC or at www.iticket.co.nz

Homes of Hope Fundraising Event
Clifford Lamar Hair Salon is holding a fashion and creative new hairstyle show, to raise money for Homes of Hope, at Mosaic; 37 Newton Street, Mt Maunganui, on Saturday, 13th September, 6pm. Tickets are available from Clifford Lamar Hair Salon in the Goddard Centre –
Adults $15, Children under 15 $8,
Senior Citizens $12.

Interior Design for ‘Life’
Woman @ Lifezone Church present an evening of inspiration with local interior designer John Darke and more. Friday 19th September at 7:30pm at the Historic Village Hall. Tickets will be $5 per person. This will be a great event to invite your friends along to. Tickets will be available from either Joss McDougall or Di via the office.

Capernwray Women’s Conference
This will be held at Monavale in Cambridge from 3-5 October.
The speakers will be Mrs Joan Thomas (from Capernwray HQ USA), Mrs Linda Thomas (from Capernwray Hall UK), and the cafe speaker will be Mrs Aggie Russell (formerly of the yacht 'Dayspring' - Bible Society in the Pacific). This promises to be a great weekend so plan to come.

We would like to thank LifeZone for our recent love gift of the food parcel we received. Also thank you for all the love and support from everyone as we have settled into the LifeZone family and over the time of the birth of Eden -

Care Cupboard
For many years LIFEzone has been able to offer practical help to those struggling financially through our Care Cupboard Ministry. We thank those who bring grocery items along each week to help provide for those in need. If you would prefer to contribute financially to this ministry please earmark your offering “Care Cupboard” and you will be able to avail of the tax rebate permitted for charitable donations.

This Week

Missionary Meeting – On Tuesday, August 19th, Anthea & Tani Ramohitaj will be speaking at the 14th Avenue Gospel Centre at 1:30 pm about their recent visit to Albania with a team of people of varying ages. It had been several years since their last visit so they will be able to help us understand the changes and challenges that they encountered. A warm welcome is extended to all who can attend. An offering will be taken and the afternoon will conclude with afternoon tea.

Mid-winter Christmas ‘Guess who’s coming to Dinner’
Those of you who have put your name down to be involved in this will be contacted this coming week with either number of guests for those hosting or the destination for those who will be the mystery guests. Guests will be asked to take along a dessert and/or a drink as a contribution toward the meal.

COMING UP

The Bay of Plenty Men’s Choir will be singing at a Bible Society fund raising programme on Sunday afternoon the 17th August at 2:30 pm in the ‘Life Church’ Chapel in Cameron Road (next to the Girl’s High School). Come and enjoy the sound of a Male Voice Choir and support it’s Lifezone members.
